Cristina is a designer, researcher and writer based in London, U.K.

She works as a Senior Design Researcher + Trends Writer at Accenture Song (originally joining via the global design consultancy Fjord). Cristina also writes about design, climate action and behavioural change for MOLD magazine, a critically acclaimed New York based print and online publication.

Design, behavioural research, environmentalism and the fundamentals of living - from spaces to sustenance - form the foundation of Cristina’s practice. Originally trained as an architect, Cristina started her career at Adjaye Associates in London before expanding her practice across a variety of design disciplines including R&D and sustainable product development. Outputs include architectural research projects, trend analysis and applying behavioural research to shape the design of products and services in healthcare.

Inter-disciplinary collaboration is central to Cristina’s approach, having worked closely with architects, material scientists, nutritionists and chefs to bring a range of projects to life. Her work has been featured at the Alimentarium Food Museum 2020-2021, Victoria & Albert Museum Exhibition Road Festival 2019 and the London Design Festival 2018.

In parallel to her design research and writing practice, Cristina’s artwork explores coexisting contrasts, multi-religious interpretation, and the beauty found in the informality of daily life. Her ongoing collection titled “God is in the details” includes printed close-up photography and furniture maquettes.

Cristina holds a Double Masters MA + MSc in Global Innovation Design from the Royal College of Art and Imperial College London and a BArch in Architecture from University of Nottingham.

A remix of artistic experimentation, scientific behavioural analysis and visual culture is a connecting thread throughout Cristina’s academic and professional experience that continues to shape her work today.
